Adobe Photoshop Courseswith Melbourne – The PhotographerSession “A” Hands-On Photoshop Assignments 1-50Session “B” Hands-On Photoshop Assignments 51-70Important Note to previous Photoshop participantsAll assignments in Session B are totally new, so you may want toregister for Session B and complete them.Capturing images with a digital camera is fun, but it is only the first step in producing beautiful and creative photography.Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite (CS) is the undisputed leader in photo-editing software and as a photographer, when you arm yourself with knowledge of this powerful program you will be able to transform your images into memorable photographs that you or your friends will be pleased to hang on their walls as a piece of photo décor.Melbourne has been a photographer for over 30 years and has photographed assignments worldwide. He started working with Photoshop in 1993 using Photoshop version 4. He understands that Photoshop is overwhelming when you are starting out, so he developed two one-day workshops that will guide you through the program with ease. The newly re-vamped (2011) Photoshop workshops are titled Session “A” Hands-On Photoshop Assignments 1 – 50 and Session “B” Hands-On Photoshop Assignments 51 - 70Maybe you have Photoshop installed but have only played around with a few of the tools and are not sure of why certain things happen one time, and don’t happen another time! The 2 days you invest in these workshops will save you hundreds of hours wading through instruction manuals! You will learn all about the major tools and features of the program as you work along with Melbourne on your own laptop completing easy assignments. This will give you the experience and knowledge to make all the necessary every day editing and manipulations needed to perfect your images. Creative techniques are covered too. A comprehensive set of workbook notes is included in the package so that you can practice the assignments again at a later time.By the time you have completed both workshops you will have experienced a thorough overview of the program and not once will you have had to refer to an 800 page manual. You will then be equipped to practice at home and will no longer have apprehensions about using Photoshop. These 2 NEW workshops have been designed so that there is a logical progression from Session “A” to Session “B” so you should attend Session “A” before Session “B”. Some of the techniques you learn in Session “A” will be used in Session “B”. Ideally you will sign up for both sessions which are usually held on weekends about 4 times a year. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST HAVE RUDIMENTARY SKILLS IN NAVIGATING AROUND YOUR COMPUTER WHETHER IT IS PC OR MAC.

Photoshop With Your Images Can Be Fun!!!!Evening Sessionwith Melbourne – The PhotographerLimited to the first 10 who register. Cost : IDR 550,000 Location: At the house/studio in south Jakarta.Date : 7.30pm to 9.45pm(Please note that this session can be held during daytime if you can get a group of 8 minimum to participate). As you may know, Melbourne conducts 2 one-day Photoshop training sessions, Session “A” Introduction to Photoshop Seminar, and Session “B” Hands-On Photoshop for Photographers Workshop. Participants who attend these two sessions are then able to take their experience from working through about 50 assignments and apply them to their everyday photo processing workflow.Photoshop Can Be Fun!!! Evening Session is different both in its format and duration. Each participant brings 8 of their images on a USB flash disc (and preferable on a CD as backup) and Melbourne will work on these files on a rotational basis as if it was his own image, carrying out a variety of techniques to edit, manipulate and enhance the images. Participants can watch, comment, make suggestions and take notes. This is an alternative method of learning. Instead of working through each element of Photoshop step by step, here you will see real world editing from a Photoshop professional. This session will appeal to absolute beginners and also to those who have “dabbled” with Photoshop. You do not need to have any former Photoshop experience to attend this session. You will be able to take home with you the manipulated images that Melbourne worked on. He will save them onto the same USB flash disc you have provided.Necessities:
- 8 digital files as shot, straight out of the camera and not edited. They can be RAW JPG format.
- If you shoot RAW, please also bring a JPG or TIFF conversion as a back up.
- Bring them on a clean (no virus) USB flash disc and preferably also on a CD as a backup.
- Reduce your selection to no more than 8 maximum.
- Feel Free to bring copies of the files that you have already processed/manipulated/enhanced, and we can discuss and review these. We do need the original, as shot files to work on.
- Please do not bring files on an external hard drive
- Bring a notebook and pen to make notes. You do not need a laptop for this session.
